**Vehicle Description**

**1972 Chevrolet Camaro Hardtop**

For consignment, we present a 1972 Camaro that has been highly modified to achieve the lowest ET possible in straight-line racing. This car packs plenty of power and maintains a mostly original appearance from 1972, but don’t be fooled—this Camaro is designed to impress. It boasts a formidable 660+ hp 496ci V8 engine, a Ford 9″ axle, and an updated instrument cluster showing 6,260 non-verifiable miles. This Camaro is ready to deliver an exhilarating performance at a moment’s notice.

**Exterior**

The exterior features a stunning Dark Blue Metallic respray, ensuring this street-legal dragster has plenty of shine left on its steel body. The exterior gaps are well-aligned, and the panels remain straight, although the paint does exhibit a few chips and battle scars, particularly on the lower sections. A large rear-facing hood scoop provides ample airflow for the powerful engine beneath. Chrome hood pins adorn the front of the hood, which has taken on a Trans Am-inspired look, complemented by a V-shaped front grille, single headlights, and round parking/signal lights adjacent to the grille. The front split bumpers are mirror-like, and all trim is beautifully preserved.

Starting in 1970, GM began altering the design of the Camaro, blurring the lines between it and the Pontiac. A glance at the front of this car reveals elements that reflect this evolution. It rides on 15-inch polished Weld DragLite wheels, wrapped in 215/65/R15 tires at the front and 275/60R15 tires at the rear. The back of the car features a small spoiler, a shiny chrome bumper, and round tail lights.

**Interior**

Upon opening the doors, you’ll notice some modifications to the interior. It includes a full 6-point roll cage, correct Camaro black vinyl bucket seats equipped with 4-point harnesses, and Autometer gauges housed within a carbon fiber bezel in the stock black dash. The center console, equipped with a Hurst shifter and power window toggles, is complemented by plush black carpet covering the floors. Additional highlights include a Grant rally steering wheel and original door panels from 1972, which have been fitted with polished aluminum lower sections. The trunk is fitted with a fuel cell and battery for enhanced performance.

Under the hood sits a pristine, highly polished 496ci Chevrolet V8, a marvel
